I Am Very Thrilled To Welcome You To Girls Health Alliance (GHA), A Community Of Dedicated Grassroots Youth Advocates That Place Girls’ Health Rights And Equality As The Core Of Its Sole Focus. I Am Especially Happy That A Dream Of Making Girls Courageous
And Stronger Is Becoming A Reality Through The Tremendous Work Of  A Team Of Like-Minds
Young Leaders Who Are Sacrificing Their Precious Times, Energies, Skills And Resources For
The Common Good And A Passion For An Engendered Society; Safe, Healthy And Peaceful
For Adolescent Youths Wellbeing.
Before Going Forward, I Like To Appreciate The Level Of Progress Made As Indicated Below
Within Just One Year Of Existence.
We Have Legally Registered With The Government Of Liberia As A Non-For-Profit NGO
We Have Built A Website And Other Necessary Social Media Pages
We Have Touched And Impacted (5) Five Slum Communities In Montserrado County By
Establishing Community-Based Youths Advocacy Clubs And Training Clubs Members In
Human Rights Advocacy And Stakeholders Engagement.
We Provided Training For Our Voluntary Staff And Volunteers In Key Areas Of
Professionalism.
We Have Grown Our Media Prominence And National Relevance
While GHA Celebrates These Inroads, It’s Committed To Leading A Revolution That Creates
A Safe, Healthy, An Inclusive And Enabling Environment For Adolescent Youths Thrive. The
Evidences Of Alarming Unintended Pregnancy Among Teenagers, Early Marriage, Sexual
And Gender-Based Violence, Menstrual Challenges And Harmful Cultural And Social Norms
And Practices Are Crucial. The Needless Challenges And Hardships Teen Girls Facing
Needs Outrageous Approaches Such As GHA”S Phenomenal Of Generating Stronger Ties
With Slum Communities And Making Them Take Ownership On Issues Affecting Their
Wellbeing And Prosperity.
As Founder And Head Of GHA, I Feel So Terrible About Losing A Best Friend To Unsafe
Abortion At Age 17 In Addition To My Beloved Mother’s Death From A Curable Disease Due
To Lack Of Skilled Health Attendants. I Believe What Happened To My Friend And Mother
Should Have Been Prevented Have My Country Had Better Health Facilities And Services
For Girls And Women Wellbeing. Sadly, Those Things I Have Seen For Years; I Still See An
Exacerbated Happening Of Peers Getting Pregnant And Married At Teen Ages! Women
Dying At Child Birth Due To Delay And Lack Of Getting Skilled Attendance! Women And
Children Being Raped And Killed By Sexual Violence, Victims Of Sexual Violence And Rape
Denied Justice While Corruption Blossoms!
I Always Consider Myself And Every Young Girl In My Country A Potential Victim,
Something That Terribly Bothers Me And Keep Driving Me To Stand Up For Girls And Young
Women Liberations By Increasing Access To Contraceptive And Reproductive Health
Education, A Key Promise On Which Girls Health Alliance Was Founded.

GHA As A Youth-Led Movement Believes These Issues Can Be Adequately Tackled By
Building Unflinching Grassroots Leadership Amongst Adolescents To Transform Their Local
Communities For The Health And Well-Being Of Girls And Young Women. We Want To
Generate Deeper Ties With Communities By Giving Youths The Right Information And Skills
Needed To Tackle Issues That Affect Themselves And Their Peers. We Want Every Girl To Be
Fully Informed About Their Body; From Menstruation, And Family Planning, To Safe Abortion.
We Want Every Girl To Be Fully Informed About Their Sexual Rights And Participation In
Decision-Making Processes On Issues That Affect Their Body And Community. We Want
To Remove Political, Cultural, And Social Barriers That Hinder Adolescents From Thriving In
Their Communities By Giving Them The Ability To Echo Their Voices And Lead Dialogue With
Stakeholders And Policymakers On Critical Issues That Affect Them.
Accordingly, GHA Is Piloting (10) Ten Years 2020-2030 Model Entitled; ”Sustainable
Tough Action For Gender Equality (STAGE)” Which Aimed To Transform Youths Into
Leaders, And Community Health Advocates. We Believe STAGE Offers The Solution, An
Impact-Measurable And Sustainable.
Finally, I Appreciate Our Precious Supporters, Allies, And Friends Who Are Supporting This
Critical Cause And I Encourage Every Kind Partner And Friend To Join Us In The Worthy
Journey For A Well-Promised Result For Our Communities.
