GHA promotes Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights among adolescent youths to make gender equality, economic development and Human Rights a reality and build prosperous communities. GHA uses (4) four pronged approaches to help girls navigate their health needs during adolescence and early adulthood, we provide the knowledge, dialogue, support, and prevention strategies they need to stay safe and healthy in schools and communities, free from coercion discrimination and violence, and make informed decisions about their bodies and policy that affects their lives to explore their full potential.
Comprehensive sexual education to prevent teenage pregnancy, sexual transmitted infections, and sexual abuse and rape among teens and school-aged girls in schools and communities to curtail high school dropout.
Stakeholders and policymakers engagement and dialogue to drive enforceable and effective actions that prevent and create an enabling environment where adolescent girls can live a safe, healthy, and prosperous life void of violence.
Youth Friendly SRHR Services:
We work with health care providers and appropriate stake holders for youth friendly reproductive health services; a Safe, an effective, affordable, and acceptable methods of the contraception method of their choice, Safe abortion services, including post-abortion care.
Advocacy and public rally campaigns for victims’ care, justice and policy reforms and enforcement.
GHA tackles harmful social, cultural and religious norms and practices such as gender based violence, gender discrimination, exclusion, FGM, child marriage, rape and other forms of exploitations and abuse against girls and young women. We work through our community-based structures, community-based organizations, civil society groups, religious institutions and relevant stakeholders to raise awareness on the prevention, monitoring and reporting of GBV.
